We are hiring for the following:

Position:    Registered Nurse - Corporate

Schedule:  36-40 hours per week, shifts vary (AM or PM)

Location: Locations throughout the company

Pay Rate: 50/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care including initial examination upon entry into the correctional facility, day-to-day medical care, and respond to medical emergencies as required by the site leadership (Health Services Administrator and/or Director of Nursing as applicable).

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Potentially Registered Nurses have to supervise and delegate to Unlicensed Assisted Personnel such as CMA, RMA, Med Tech, or Certified Med Aide, per the State Board of Nursing and their scope of practice and any state requirements, where the RN and UAP are working together.

  • Collaborate with facility and corporate management team members to achieve excellent clinical outcomes

  • Educate facility leadership and nursing department team members

  • Work from various facility locations to provide nursing and management support, in accordance with the site-specific shift needs (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays).

  • Provide outstanding customer service to all customers including, but not limited to, patients, correctional facility staff, internal employees and other individuals providing services to MEDIKO and its clients

  • Prepare, monitor, and coordinate the daily patient care activities of the unit to ensure all physician orders are implemented and all patient encounters are documented

  • Monitor all off-site referrals and provide case management services

  • Coordinate services with other patient care units/areas and provide nursing and patient care services as appropriate

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, MEDIKO and facility policies, and accepted nursing protocols and procedures

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program

  • Active state/commonwealth Nursing license (LPN, RN, etc. as applicable)

  • Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting, emergency room or correctional setting preferred
