The activity will cover the details of the Individual Activity application process. The participants will actually construct certain areas of the application, so they have a better understanding of how to perform a needs assessment, identify a professional practice gap, develop learning outcomes from the identified gap and examine how to evaluate based on the learning outcomes. We will address Conflicts of Interest (COI), effective teaching strategies, and evidence-based content.

This seminar is for all continuing professional development educators, nurses, administrators, and those interested in developing effective continuing nursing education (CNE) activities.

What is the cost?

The cost is $50.00 Students are welcome!  Cost covers refreshments, lunch, education materials, and processing certificates (see contact hour information below).

GNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

A few Highlights:

  • We will answer key questions including: What is a professional practice gap? How do you determine a professional practice gap? How to develop learning outcomes that diminish or close the practice gap.
  • We will address Conflicts of Interest (COI), effective teaching strategies, and what constitutes evidence-based content.
  • We will take an up close and informative review of how to complete GNA’s Individual Activity Application.
  • 5.75 contact hours will be awarded
