Support Georgia frontline nurses on August 8, 2020 by running or walking in the GNF “Nurses: Frontline to finish Line Virtual 5K Race!”

Hit the trail, advancing the nursing profession! Funds raised will go towards providing nursing scholarships to increase diversity in the workforce, developing mental health resiliency training for nurses, sponsoring research, and supporting designated nursing activities of the Georgia Nurses Foundation.

“Being an active member in my running community, I have always looked for opportunities to engage in races throughout the state of Georgia and the southeast. With the ongoing pandemic, I believe it’s more important than ever to promote physical activity to support a healthy immune system. What better way than to participate in a 5K that will support Georgia Nurses while also following CDC guidelines regarding social distancing?” Stated GNA Director of Nursing Practice & Advocacy and running enthusiast Joy King Mark, DNP, MBA, APRN, NP-C.

This is a virtual race that can be run/walked on your own, anywhere, such as your neighborhood or a nearby trail. The length for a 5k is 3.1 miles.

Apps for recording distance and time are recommended upon completion of registration. This 5k may be completed and results submitted anytime between August 8th, 2020, 12:00am - 11:59pm.
