Compassion Christian Church & the Abbie DeLoach Foundation Accepting Applications!
Text provided by Abbie DeLoach Foundation.
We at the Abbie DeLoach Foundation have established a footprint of sending people around the world through World Missions, by students achieving and pushing themselves in the classrooms to be a leader and the athlete who lays it all on the field of competition for his team’s success.
Our World Missions, along with Compassion Christian Church in Savannah, GA have opened up the impossible to become possible. In 2018, we funded and built a building that enabled women rescued from human trafficking a skill that being “artisans”. The ministry through Skipping Stones, co-founders Greg and Abhineeta Matney in India helped those in vulnerable positions find hope through vocational training centers.
In 2019, the ALD Foundation sent its first Medical Missions to Ecuador. We worked along with The Nurses For the Nations to impact the basic needs of many families in this region of Ecuador. We sponsored 6 student-nurses chosen form the 85 different medical schools in the state of Georgia. They came from Georgia Southern University, Truett McConnell University, Dalton State University, Valdosta University, and Reinhardt University. The 10-day hands-on experience of what they had learned in the classroom was being put to the test in very poor conditions.
In 2020, we have already started planning to send two nursing students to Ecuador along with two nursing students to Zimbabwe. We will receive the applications and select the individuals so they can attend the ALD Foundation Luncheon on April 24, 2020 at Compassion Christian Church in Savannah, GA.
