Posted over 3 years ago by Charlotte Endemano

October 23, 2020- It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Nursing champion and former Georgia Board of Nursing President Barry A. Cranfill, APRN, CRNA.

Barry was one of the key players in many of the improvements at the Board in recent years. He was a strong advocate for nurses in Georgia. His passing is truly heartbreaking for our nursing community and his family.

His obituary may be found at https://www.thomasfuneralhomecalhoun.com/obituaries/Barry-Cranfill/#!/Obituary.

Our thoughts are with the Cranfill family.

Barry was a great teacher of many. He had strong viewpoints and would share his knowledge with those eager to learn. When I was new RN, he was a great resource. Barry helped my daughter when she was ready to search for nursing programs. He also loved to laugh! He talked about his family often, and you felt like you knew them. He will be remembered by anyone who ever met him. What a loss for us all. So sorry for his family.
