January 6, 2021- Georgia nurses can volunteer to administer the COVID-19 vaccine. The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) announced that qualified nurses interested in volunteering to administer the COVID-19 vaccine may register at SERVGA.gov.

"We truly thank you for reaching out to us regarding your interest in volunteering!  With your skillset and knowledge, it is greatly appreciated that you desire to utilize them in a response capacity to help the community," said DPH.

"To help all those interested in assisting with COVID-19 Mass Vaccination response, we’re directing individuals to visit our website:  https://servga.gov.

Once there, you will be directed to create a volunteer profile to include your full name, address, and credentials. Upon completion of this information, you will be given a choice of groups within your area to affiliate with such as the Medical Reserve Corps (MRCs), Georgia Nurse Alert System (GNAS), Georgia Pharmacist Alert System (GPAS). Based on your affiliation and the completion of the administration training a unit leader/Administrator will follow up with you for further coordination or onboarding as the needs arise.

Please note, you must provide complete contact information to be reached, i.e. email address, mobile phone.
