Georgia Nurses Association hosts annual professional development conference, Challenges healthcare to change

July 11, 2022- The Georgia Nurses Association is hosting its “Nurses Challenge Healthcare to Change” annual professional development conference on September 30- October 2, 2022, at the Hotel at Avalon Autograph Collection in Alpharetta, GA. “As the backbone of healthcare, nurses are on the front lines leading the change needed to improve patient care in Georgia’”, said Matt Caseman, GNA CEO.

“This conference promises to show attendees how nurses can challenge the current status quo and effectively work to increase access to quality, equitable healthcare throughout Georgia,” stated GNA President Dr. Dina Hewett.

As the state’s largest professional nursing association, GNA members are registered nurses from a variety of backgrounds, including CNOs, Deans and Directors, APRNs, bedside nurses, and much more. They encompass innovative healthcare practitioners who are leaders and decision makers within their respective specialties.

Keynote speakers this year include ANA Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Debbie Hatmaker; Founder, Georgia Health News and Southern Bureau Chief, Kaiser Health News, Andy Miller; and Mercer University School of Medicine Dean Dr. Jean Sumner.
