Senator Ossoff Shares Federal Funding Opportunity for Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship

December 16, 2022- Senator Ossoff would like to share that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is now accepting applications for the Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship (NAT) program.

 

This Federal funding opportunity is designed to increase the supply and distribution of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in rural, urban, and Tribal underserved communities by providing traineeship support.

 

Eligible applicants include: 

 

  • Accredited nursing schools 
  • Nursing centers 
  • Academic health centers 
  • State or local governments 
  • Domestic community-based organizations
  • Tribes and Tribal organizations 
  • Public or private nonprofit entities as deemed appropriate by the Secretary 

 

HRSA anticipates $2,250,000 to be available to fund up to 80 grant awards over a 4-year project period from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2027. 

 

Applications are due by February 10, 2023.
