Survey - Your Voice Matters: Help Shape Georgia’s Healthcare Response to Trafficking
Posted about 3 hours ago by Charlotte Endemano
February 27, 2026 - Human trafficking is happening in every corner of Georgia.
Healthcare is often one of the only systems trafficking victims interact with, but are we
truly prepared to respond? Studies have shown that up to 88% of trafficked persons see
a healthcare professional during their victimization (Greenbaum, et al, 2018). This
presents a critical opportunity for healthcare professionals to recognize and respond to
victims of trafficking who are present as patients.
The Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force is a multi-disciplinary, non-investigative
coalition working to close critical gaps in Georgia’s response. We’ve identified
healthcare as a key area for improvement and we want to hear directly from you.
What’s working? What’s missing? What support do you need? Your voice is essential to help us develop real solutions that lead to better outcomes for victims and providers alike.
Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey below — your input will help us better
understand the current landscape of human trafficking response within Georgia’s
healthcare system.
