GNA President Dr. Joy L. King Named WGU Distinguished Graduate.

On March 4, 2026, Western Governors University (WGU) named GNA President Dr. Joy L. King as one of the 14 recipients of its 2026 Distinguished Graduate Award.

The Award recognizes graduates who are advancing healthcare access, strengthening cybersecurity and /or empowering students and communities.

Dr. King earned a WGU MBA in Healthcare Management in 2020. She currently serves patients in Macon as an experienced nurse practitioner through Devoted Health and CVS MinuteClinic. She also serves as adjunct faculty, teaching graduate nursing and healthcare finance at Georgia College & State University, and is in the 4th year of her PhD in Nursing at Georgia State University.
